Step 1: Select Your Pack

Select from the 38L Burn, 48L Prophet, or 55L Exodus. We recommend reading through the full product descriptions of each pack to ensure it has the features that are right for you and your adventure style.

Step 2: Select Your Toso Size

Please read our “Pack Size” and “Sizing Guide” tabs CAREFULLY before ordering your custom pack. We cannot exchange for a different size or accept custom pack returns. Our pack sizes are not the same as you would get if you were “fitted” at an outdoor store, so remeasure according to our guide!

Torso Sizes: XS 16.5”, S 18”, M 20”, LG 21.5”, XLG 23”

Step 3: Custom Colors

Go stealth mode. Go desert tones. Go alpine meadow. Go, “this is my pack.” Built from UltraGrid, a 210d waterproof coated recycled Hi-Tenacity Type 66 Nylon featuring double ripstop UHMWPE grids from US-based Challenge Fabrics. This is the good stuff! About 4.5oz Sq/yd. A longtime workhorse of ultralight packs. Looks Great-Lasts a Long Time. UltraGrid Colors: Black, Avocado, Chili Red, Blue Smoke, Coyote Tan, Berry Purple UltraStretch Mesh options are available for the rear pocket, optional Shoulder Strap Pockets, and the optional Bottom Pocket (Dark Gray Only). UltraStretch is an advanced 4-way stretch mesh, supercharged with ULTRA™ to be lightweight, ultra durable, and tear-resistant. UltraStretch Colors: Black, Dark Gray, Coyote Brown, and Tangerine Customizable Panels Include:

Side Panels & Front Panel: This color will be on both side panels (including the sides of the extension collar) and on the front of the pack and the front extension collar.
Back Panel & Bottom Panel: This color will appear on the back panel, including the back of the extension collar, and on the bottom of the pack.
Side Pockets: This is the color of the side pockets.
Rear Pocket: This is the large pocket on the front of the pack (we put it there to confuse you). In addition to UltraGrid, you can also opt to use UltraStretch Mesh here.
Shoulder Straps & Hipbelt Wings: This color will appear on the outer-facing portion of the shoulder straps and the hipbelt.

Step 4: Choose Your Add-Ons

Dial in your system with the following options:

Sewn-On Shoulder Strap Pockets [+$13 -$25]: These are UltraStretch pockets sewn into the shoulder straps. Pockets are open-topped and close tightly with a stuff sack-style bungee top. They fit most 12 oz to 32 oz (.35L to 1L) water bottles and most bear sprays. Options include: Left Pocket, Right Pocket, or Both.
Hydration Port [+$10 -$20]: A small, triangular overlap slot above the shoulder strap on the back of the pack that allows a water reservoir tube to pass through. Options include: Left Side Port, Right Side Port, or Both.
Bottom Pocket [$25]: A Dark Gray UltraStresh Mesh pass-through pocket that spans the bottom of the pack, provides easy access to rain gear, snacks, or a handy place to store your trash.
Zipper Access [$25]: Add a quick-access zipper either vertically along the side or horizontally above the Rear Pocket.

NOTES ON TORSO & SIZING

PLEASE read our torso measure notes carefully before ordering your Custom Pack. We cannot do exchanges for size or accept custom pack returns. Also see all the info on the stock UltraGrid pack products.

We measure from the bottom of the frameless pack, up the middle of the back to the seam where the shoulder straps are sewn into the pack. They do not correspond to a pack measure of torso size for a framed pack.

These measures are +/- about .5”

• Torso lengths on MLD packs are measured from the bottom of the pack (bottom of the waist belt wings) up the middle to the point where the shoulder straps attach to the pack.
• 90% of MLD packs users do best to going by our height guidelines and sizing up when not sure.
• Different pack makers and outdoor stores measure torso length differently, AND frameless packs are measured and fit differently than fully framed packs with large hip belts. DO NOT go to your local outdoor store (REI etc.) and “get pack fitted” and then select a size/length based on that measurement; it will be wrong!
• Use our height guide! If you need help deciding the right size – Please feel free to give us a call. (Please don’t order multiple sizes as a guess!)
• The best way is to take any frameless pack you have, measure it the same way we do and then compare. A properly fitted frameless pack loaded with 15-20 lbs of well distributed and properly UL packed gear will fit well when the hipbelt is at the most comfortable point for you and then the shoulder straps go over the shoulder and then drop down to the pack about 1” to 2” below the shoulders.
• If In Doubt – Size up so the straps do not go too low down the back to the pack.
• The XS size hipbelt wings are very small and pack pockets will fit a bit different and a bit forward to the wings.
• Overall volume of the pack will change with torso size and listed volumes are for the LG size.
