Sawyer Picaridin Insect Repellent is highly effective at deterring a wide array of biting insects including ticks, mosquitoes (including Yellow Fever/ Zika Mosquitoes!), biting flies, gnats, chiggers, and sand flies. Since we hate ticks and mosquitoes, we love Sawyer Picaridin!

Sawyer Picaridin Insect Repellent is a synthetic replica of the Piperine found in pepper plants, a natural solution that has been proven to be a very potent formula on mosquitoes, ticks, and flies. While potent to insects, this non-greasy, odor-free lotion is also family-friendly, safe on clothing, gear, and equipment, and feels good on your skin.

Picaridin lotion is effective for up to 14 hours against mosquitoes and ticks, and up to 8 hours against biting flies, gnats, chiggers, and sand flies. We carry the lotion over the spray because it lasts longer and because lotion wastes less than a pump or aerosol spray liquid.
