ULTRA X 100 FOOD BAG / FLAT-BOTTOMED DRY BAG
Tougher Waterproof, Flat-bottomed Storage.
WEIGHT: 2.1 – 2.7 oz | 63 – 80 gm
Our NEW! ULTRA X 100 Food Bag doubles as a flat-bottomed dry bag. The Ultra 100X Food Bag is a tougher version of our DCF Food Bag and was built for hard use and adventures in areas with a higher risk of rodent night attacks. Tough Ultra X 100 fabric can take a beating and slow down gnawing little teeth vs. thinner DCF. Flying squirrels have their work cut out!
The flat-bottom design makes for easy loading and allows the bag to stand better while you dig for your favorite snacks. Available in two sizes for longer and shorter ultralight adventures. The small Ultra X 100 food bag will carry 2-5 days’ worth of food, while the large bag will carry 4-7+ days. This bag is rated to carry up to 50 pounds.
Made from ULTRA X 100 fabric, these Food Bags are waterproof and fully seam sealed (Note: Not rated for full water submersion.) ULTRA fabric is a woven blend of UHMWPE and 100% Recycled Polyester Fibers; the face fabric is woven 66% UHMWPE and 33% Recycled Polyester; it is backed by a .5mil RUV Recycled Film.
• Compared to 4.5oz Robic 210d, it’s 4X more abrasion resistant + 4X stronger.

Excellent, light, and durable. This survived 500 miles of the Arizona Trail with no issues. Highly recommended.

I used this kit with the bear bag line kit on a 16 day thru hike of the Long Trail. I was happy with the bag – construction quality and materials seem great. However I was very disappointed with the line. It’s extremely easy to tangle it, and each day I had to spend five minutes or so fixing the loops and knots that had developed on the line.

Line Tip: Like a climbing rope, never roll the line as that adds kinks and tangles. Stuff it random and loose into the scak and then it should unfurl without kinks. A butterfly stack can also work OK.

Used this bag on a SOBO thru hike of the CDT. Kept my food dry through all weather conditions, and kept the critters out. This trail is hard on gear, and the Ultra material didn’t disappoint. No fraying, and the abrasion resistance really lives up to the hype. Top notch quality. Excited to get a lot more miles out of this sack, and see what else I can pick up in Ultra X.
