1.5 MM PRO GUYLINE
Hi-Vis. No-Slip.
WEIGHT: 0.8 oz – 1.4 oz| 25 – 40 gm
This no-slip 1.5 mm Pro Guyline is high-visibility orange, so if you trip over it, it’s your own fault! But don’t worry, with a 400 lb breaking strength, even if you do trip over it, it’s not about to break. Sold as just the guyline or with 12 Mini LineLocks.
FEATURES
• 1.5 mm High Visibility Orange Spectra Core Line
• 400 lb | 181 kg Breaking Strength
• Special Weave, No Slip Double Woven Polyester Sheath
NOTE: Use this line if you want to save weight and remove the stock LineLock 3’s from your shelter; this ultra-light small line will NOT fit the LineLock 3 (the 2.7 mm LineLocks that are standard on MLD Shelters.)
Need a guyline that works with your shelter’s LL3s? Our 2.7 mm Pro Guyline is standard line for LineLock 3 tension adjustors.
OPTIONAL: 12 MINI LINELOCKS
These Mini LineLocks will hold about 75 lbs | 34 kg of continuous pull with this line – more force than most any strong wind will put on one tie-out. Some users tie a single overhand knot at various fixed points in the line to act as a preset length. The small knot will pass freely through the LineLocks, yet jam securely at the cinch to act as a set stop. This technique can also be used for really high no-slip strength up to about 150+ lb | 68 + kg.
See the picture above to correctly thread the Linelocks when you set them up. Note the single overhand knot used at the end of the line. Tie the knot and pull it very tight. Cut the line past the knot it off leaving a 1/8″ tail. Use a lighter to melt the tail and then before it cools press it flat into the knot. A tail or knot that is too big or tall will prevent the running line seating into the V groove deep enough to hold well.

Picked this up and glad I did. Wasn’t sure if the blaze orange was going to clash with the lush green of the outdoors. Was contemplating getting fluorescent green. But the orange is excellent. Easy to notice and take heed of trip hazards without being obnoxious. There’s a reason why stop signs are red. Excellent addition to any tarp or tent. Thumbs up.
